In
a continuous effort to focus on the well-being of their customers,
Pierce’s Supermarket, Inc. has expanded their website to include
a variety of articles and online resources designed to promote and
encourage healthy eating and living.
The new health and wellness module, created
by the DW Green Company of Tempe, Arizona, can be accessed via Pierce’s
homepage, and viewed at http://piercesmarkets.com/pierces/wellness/.
This continuously updated new addition to the Pierce’s website
includes articles offering suggestions for healthy dining and entertaining,
information on special diets, a glossary of nutritional terms, hundreds
of recipes, produce guides, and much more.
This user-friendly site enables visitors
to easily search for, and locate, information on a variety of health-related
topics. For instance, the “Color of Nutrition” feature
presents a color-based guide to the health benefits, nutrients and
peak seasons of many fruits and vegetables. Each section of the site
also includes links that cross-reference other resources available
on www.piercesmarkets.com,
giving visitors access to a great amount of information.
By integrating the health benefits of popular
foods with an extensive database of delicious recipes, Pierce’s
makes learning about health, and applying the information to everyday
life, much more approachable.
Useful features such as weekly menu planners,
shopping lists, and recommendations of in-season produce simplify shopping
and cooking, assisting Pierce’s customers in their efforts to
adopt or maintain a healthy, balanced diet.
“We are very excited to offer this
new service to our customers,” President and General Manager
Jeff Maurer said. “We know, from listening to our customers,
that healthy eating is becoming more and more important to them and
their families. This service is a tool that can help them make the
best choices for their individual lifestyles.”
Pierce’s has been committed to serving
the communities of Wisconsin for more than 80 years. With locations
in East and West Baraboo, Madison, Muscoda and Portage, Pierce’s
is continuously striving to meet the diverse needs of their customers.
The Portage location now features a newly designed, 160-foot space
showcasing an exciting and extensive new selection of natural and organic
